Rolling Steel Doors--Solid Curtains

National Systems Rolling Steel Doors offer maximum protection against theft and vandalism. While many manufacturers offer basic protection, National Systems considers every job to be a reflection of our workmanship and reputation. That's why each storefront rolling steel door we install comes with our two year guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship-including parts and labor.

Curtains are made from 4" galvanized steel slat, cut to length and interlocked together to form a continuous solid curtain top to bottom.

One piece track assemblies made from 11 gauge roll formed channel are flush welded with 11 gauge coil enclosure side brackets made of stamped steel to increase bend resistance.  Track assemblies are braced as required to allow for proper mounting and to bear the weight of the curtains and spring assemblies.  Track assemblies are fastened to wall with fasteners appropriate to the material attached to and with sheer and torsion strengths far exceeding the weight of the doors.

Pin locks, as shown, are constructed of a plated 1/2" steel eye pin lock that is inserted through the track and closed curtain, aligning with a 3/8" thick steel hasp welded to the track.  One 2 1/2" padlock is required to secure the pin lock in place.  (Padlocks are not included unless otherwise noted).

All welds are MIG welded, ground smooth, and thoroughly inspected to remove all welding spatter and sharp edges before painting.

Hood enclosures are made of 24-gauge galvanealed galvanized steel and then painted.   Non-galvanized hood covers rust through from the top in as little as 18-24 months requiring expensive replacement.  The galvanealed galvanizing allows paint to stick to the cover unlike standard galvanized surfaces.

Painting is done is a spray booth with HVLP spray equipment.  Only Benjamin Moore Industrial Urethane Enamel is used.  This paint costs 5-6 times what most ornamental iron fabricators use, resulting in a finish that protects the steel and retains its high gloss for many years.  Painted parts include the track and coil enclosure assemblies and the hood covers.  All scratches, welded fasteners or imperfections are field touched up with the same paint.

Band spring assemblies are custom formulated for each individual door.  They are lifetime lubricated at time of manufacture and field adjusted for optimum operation.

National Systems guarantees that Rolling Steel Doors with band spring assemblies, manufactured and installed by National Systems shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from date of installation.  Should any component fail under normal use during the warranty period, National Systems will repair or replace that component free of charge, including materials and labor.
